As Diversity and Inclusion Business Partner, Kandace supports the Community Operations business function, develops strategy to increase the promotional velocity of underrepresented employees, and manages global employee resource group strategy.
Kandace joined Uber Technologies as Houston Office Manager in April 2015. After leading volunteer and community engagement efforts for Uber Houston, Kandace organized and led an UberHUE diversity and inclusion task force that garnered executive support and resulted in the creation of Uber’s diversity and inclusion team. Kandace was then elected to serve as Global co-Chair of UberHUE from June 2016 - June 2017.
Prior to joining Uber, Kandace worked on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness team at Teach For America helping build an equitable internal culture. With more than 8 years’ experience leading diversity and inclusion initiatives across the technology, education and residential industries, she has become known as a champion for equity in the workplace.
Kandace is a faithful mother of three in her hometown of Houston where she thoroughly enjoys eating Tex-Mex, test-driving foreign automobiles, and serving the community.
